Chop
I have seen fluff for the other 3 legions. Looking to see how Forge World fleshed out the Raven Guard Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288985-raven-guard-fluff-from-book-3/ Share on other sites

Nusquam
What I know about the Mor Deythan, AKA Shadow Masters, is that they are Kiavahr born. They have Corax's ability to "shadow-walk". Meaning they can cause things with minds to ignore their prescience. Effectively making them invisible. Doesn't work on scanners or automated weapons, that's what stealth tech is for. They speak in "Stalk Argot" which is a combination of soft sighs and wind-like noises. They developed it during a campaign on some windy planet. They are taken early in their training when the ability manifests. They are elite infiltrators and saboteurs, using carbine versions of various weapons like plasmaguns and compact rocket launchers. The shadows are their home, and in them no one can see them. The Dark Furies are brand new, along with the Moritat-Prime and Strike Captain. SFH
Apparently, from what I've read in the other threads, Horus originally used the XIX Legion when he didn't want to "get his hands dirty" during a campaign. He also used them as his honour guard. Corax comes in and Horus wants to keep using them like that, but Corax doesn't, so he allows a lot of Terran marines to volunteer for vanguard duty with the Luna Wolves. Terrains get nearly wiped out. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/288985-raven-guard-fluff-from-book-3/#findComment-3641640 Share on other sites
Marshal Rohr
The Raven Guard background was pretty cool, but the downside is Corax rearranged everything after Isstvan, so it would be difficult to make an army of them for the actual Heresy. Unless you do a different ragtag group of Raven Guard Istvaan V survivors or a contingent that was deployed elsewhere.
