[LaserCutCard] Art deco corner ruin WIP

Recommended Posts

Hi all

We've got a model in production already, the Casspir MPV (this is a South African mine-protected vehicle)

http://www.lasercutcard.co.za/image/cache/data/vehicles/casspir03-500x500.JPG

We've decided to make a slightly more scifi version of this, called (with all due imagination) the Casspir II

This is going to have a dual rear axle, side doors and a turret mounting some various weapons options.

Here are the original CADS for the Casspir II - which we are exploring in two versions, an enclosed and a flat bed.

Here are the test cuts of the enclosed version

Next step is to add the side door details and do the turret test (the turret above is one yanked off one of our other models just to get some idea... it is a little big)

We would appreciate any feedback you might have regarding this vehicle as a possible alternative transport.... anything you would like to see added?

Dropship CAD

Steve has been hard at work on a generic dropship/shuttle. We've been wanting to do one for a while. How does this one look?

Power station / reactor CAD

So... is this a playable piece? What about storing it? Should there be a walkway round the top of the cooling towers?

G-6 52 Artillery (generic BIG GUN)

The G6 self-propelled howitzer is a South African artillery piece,
developed around the ordnance of the G5 howitzer. It is one of the most
powerful self-propelled guns on a wheeled chassis.

Here is a marketing video done by a dude that REALLY liked the 3D font effect

I have never been a fan of gothic architecture and so some time ago designed these ruined art deco buildings for LCC.

They were made from a combination of MDF and card. The originals were fantastic but expensive.

This is the test cut of the next version, which replaces the MDF parts with two layers of card.

This reduces both the weight and the cost. The original was $20 and this version, which is more or less identical, should cost about $12, making it far more affordable.

I am reworking all the other files to be card and then will re-release the entire range (4 different corner ruins) in January.

I am also working on an entirely new building, meaning that eventually there will be eight different corner ruins available.
