Emperor's Furor
So I dunno about you but I feel the way FW has painted their Salamanders recently has not been exactly awesome, I was wondering if it's the green they use? Now I don't mind Castellan green, the scheme for my normal marine force is painted with half of it, but for the Salamanders in pre heresy I just think it saps the detail or something from the model. What do you think about it? I have a praetor I want to paint but I'm not sure on the green. Barabbas Sogalon
I like the green they've used on the mk II assault squad and the marines with autocannons, fits the theme of 30k very well. I don't like the green on the Pyroclasts, it's too bright and reminds me too much of the 40k incarnation. grand_master85
I did mine, and it seems like it's really fiddly but it isn't; Base: 50/50 Castellan Green/Caliban Green with a few drops of black in Wash: Coelia Greenshade Layer: 25/25/25/25 Castellan Green/Caliban Green/Loren Forest/Warpstone Glow Highlight: 50/50 Loren Forest/Warpstone Glow Glaze: Waywatcher Green It's a nice mix between the camp green FW are going for and that HIDEOUS snot green that GW use for 40k. If I could add a couple of photos on my iPhone of progress so far, I would! It's a really nice green when it's on Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289016-salamanderss-green/#findComment-3642353 Share on other sites
