alpro
Hi there, quick question; If i was to have a rune preist in a drop pod with 5 combi-plasma wolf guard, could i split the rune priest at the end of the movement pahse so i could target something else in the shooting phase? Leif Bearclaw
I think so, as long as the Priest finishes his move more than 2 inches away from the WG, otherwise he has to join the unit. But bear in mind, even with runic/terminator armour a lone priest is begging to be bushwhacked, and he's unlikely to make his pints back in one shooting phase. DanPesci
also, just as a sidenote, with 5 combiplasma wolf guard, its proably more efficient to add a wolf priest in there giving them pref.enemy (infantry)....rerolls on 1s is nice. Rerolls on 1s with a potential ten plasma shots, can be lifesaving (literally haha) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289055-drop-pods-and-independent-characters/#findComment-3643070 Share on other sites
Grey Mage
^^^ The man has a point on the Wolf Priest, but if youre bringing the Rune Priest for Jaws its probably still worth the tradeoff. But yes, he can disembark in a different location and will immediately become a separate unit, which is highly dangerous- but sometimes you have to take big risks to gain big rewards.
