I actually use a C:SM Captain (because the D.C obviously need the boost in Assault) but I went with the Librarian in the O.P precisely because he's a cheaper option and really, in the D.C, the Captain is more redundant than the fifth D in the five D's of dodgeball.

 

He works really well in the Sanguinary Guard, too.

I've toyed with the Idea of taking Dante + JP DC + Shrike to get Infilitrating, DC with Hit and Run.  If there was only a way to guarantee Forewarning, so the squad would have the 4++. Without an inv the squad just can't be counted on IMO

 

A list like this with 3x podded furiosos would actually be pretty awesome.

By taking Shrike, you cannot charge in the first player turn of the game, meaning combat is by T2 if you go first, the same as Hit and Run guys deploying in their DZ.

 

The obvious solution is Dante and DC with Shrike.

 

Or go C:SM and ally RG with WS use use vanguard.
