I'm wanting to use 2 squads maxed out In my mechanised assault list forward observation units feeding info to the mechanised forces. As there seems to be a proliferation of Mechanicum, it might be wise to add sniper rifles in order to take down those monstrous creature units. GhostMalone Posted April 7, 2014 Author Share Posted April 7, 2014 I was thinking 2 10 man squads in Land raiders using the mechanised assault Row outflank with sniper rifles vox and cameoline so if I throw in the vigilator to help add support I can guide an orbital bombardment in with the MoS and deep strike some jetbikes or javellins. thoughts? Also, i don't mean to hijack your thread, Brother, but I'm curious as to how useful a Recon Squad is when equipped with Recon Armour, and how they play on a battlefield dominated by Power Armour. Dono1979 Posted April 7, 2014 Share Posted April 7, 2014 I normally take them with a heap of Sniper Rifles and no transport. The key is that they are still Marines, BS4, S4 and T4, they can hit things easily and can handle themselves if assaulted (especially with the shroud bombs!). They are a unit that your opponent HAS to take care off or they will start eliminating the Characters from their army and whittling down specialist models.
