The Red Thirst
Brothers, Found this on a lurk on the net, looks to be an audio cover from with the sigismund art posted a few weeks ago on Black Library. Apologies if its been posted already http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee410/TheRedThirst/Vyof2lItBV4_zps1f14f974.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289173-templar-art/ Share on other sites
Elenmar
By the emperor... amazing. Our sire gets more glorious with each new release. Looks to be the cover of an audio drama where Sigismund takes the fight to the Word Bearers. Hmm, I must contemplate my next course of action. Son of Carnelian
I think this is where he takes the fight to the traitors that remain in the Sol system. This takes place during that massive time skip in The Crimson Fist. Marshal Rohr
Sorely disappointed that this won't be released until next January. I wonder what is taking Black Library so long to publish stuff these days. The last book released was Scars wasn't it? And Venegful Spirit won't be out until May. Dosjetka
I was wondering the exact same thing, brother. A real pain, to say the least. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289173-templar-art/#findComment-3645445 Share on other sites

Greyall
Is...that a little Eye of Horus on his gorget? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289173-templar-art/#findComment-3645674 Share on other sites
DarKnight
Awesome art. Should be good, French was awesome with Crimson Fist and Sigismund has yet to have any real "Oh S#!*" moments on screen yet. Honda
Is...that a little Eye of Horus on his gorget? Not on my Sigismund! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289173-templar-art/#findComment-3645738 Share on other sites
Greyall
But it does look like one...only thing I can't discern is the iris, but it clearly looks like Horus's symbol...maybe a battle honour from a previous battle. Emperor's Furor
I heard about this ages ago, I wonder what's taken so long for it to come out. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289173-templar-art/#findComment-3645786 Share on other sites
Conn Eremon
But it does look like one...only thing I can't discern is the iris, but it clearly looks like Horus's symbol...maybe a battle honour from a previous battle. You mean the symbol once known as the Eye of Terra? I am okay with Sigismund showing it off. Marshal Rohr
I'm a little peeved that primary detachments with Sigismund as the warlord don't have a rule allowing them to take loyalist world eaters as allies. I thought that would've been a cool little flavor rule. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289173-templar-art/#findComment-3646117 Share on other sites
Greyall
And here I was thinking that "detachments with Sigismund" was the same as "Sigismund as a detachment"... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289173-templar-art/#findComment-3646243 Share on other sites
Emperors Teeth
I'm a little peeved that primary detachments with Sigismund as the warlord don't have a rule allowing them to take loyalist world eaters as allies. I thought that would've been a cool little flavor rule. I don't follow? What's stopping you doing that using the ally matrix? They're 'Distrusted Allies'. Not ideal perhaps, but certainly not a fun-breaker. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289173-templar-art/#findComment-3646675 Share on other sites
Marshal Rohr
I mean to take them as Sworn Brothers. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289173-templar-art/#findComment-3646678 Share on other sites
Greyall
Well, I find that a little difficult, even Pre-Heresy: Sigismund: "Onwards, Brothers! Charge!" World Eater 1: "A challenge, Templar! First Blood!" Sigismund: "First blo...for the love of Dorn, we're charging an armoured column! Look, there's a Squiggoth, go challenge it!" World Eater 1: "Mayhap you want to declare yourself a cowa-" *shwing* *clump* Sigismund: "Alright then, that's taken care of. Now, brothers, drive the greenskins into the ground" *armoured feet stomping* World Eater 2: "Templar! A challenge!" And so on... BassWave
@marshal2crusaders- 30k is meant to be played with your best buds to begin with. I'm sure if you talk it out with them, they'd let WE be sworn brothers if Sigismund is in your main detachment. Yogi
So Sigismund is the nutter who thought you needed to chain your weapon to your wrist. Since third ed I have love the concept of the emperor's champion. Should be interesting. Scribe
Actually, he stole it from the World Eaters, and Angron did he not, in Betrayer? :p Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289173-templar-art/#findComment-3647085 Share on other sites

Kriegsmacht
It's mentioned in the audio drama The Butcher Nails. Sigismund and Amit are both mentioned as being participants of the gladiator fights. Khârn even hopes he'll be able to fight both later in battle. BFeeder
I believe the audio drama will be available at the Horus Heresy Weekender in May. Given his inclusion in Extermination, it would be excellent if Forgeworld released a miniature of Sigismund to coincide.
