Utilising the RoW

So I have a question;

 

If I utilise the mechanised assault RoW and I buy 2 storm eagles can I stick 2x 10 assault squads inside them or will I need to drop my last 2 troop choices as I can't fit 2 more Spartans to accommodate them.

 

 

And does the RoW effect an allied detachment

RoW only affect the detachment it is taken for.  If your army is large enough, you could have a primary detachment and an allied detachment, each with their own Praetor and RoW.  Per the Armored Spearhead RoW, all units with the Infantry type must begin the game inside a transport, either their own dedicated transport or... any vehicle with the appropriate transport capacity.  Per page 78 of the BRB, Jump Infantry may not embark on transports unless specified otherwise.

 

So, you cannot put 2x assault squads inside 2 storm eagles, nor can you put them in Spartans.

So I can still take them in the allied attachment?

Which means I can have them as the same force but use the ally slots

Also something of note that a lot of people miss is that you can only use Rites of War with the Age of Darkness Force Org Chart, not any of the other ones like Castellan or Onslaught.

Yeah I gathered that part, so I can still take the spartan as a dedicated transport for terminators and use my HS to fill the others with Spartans and throw 20man blobs in
