Sviar
So I got inspired to build Sigismund when I saw this upcoming audio drama: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Templar-Horus-Heresy-John-French/dp/1849706786/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1397166174&sr=1-1&keywords=John+French+Templar But I have no idea what kind of armour he would have used. During the Hersy (according to 40K Lexicanum) they used MK II to MK VII. Does anyone know what kind of armour IF had when he became Emperors Champion, since according to Lexicanum (again) the traitors where better equipped. Or could he have an custom made power armour? Relict
At the start of the Heresy, the Legions had everything up to Mark IV armor. The Traitor Legions had the greater balance of the Mark IVs, since Horus made sure that they were well-supplied before Isstvan III. Mark V armor was an ad hoc product developed during the Heresy, as Traitor and Loyalist Legions alike started having logistical problems. Mark VI armor was in development just prior to the start of the Heresy. Large numbers were supplied to the Loyalist Legions to make up for their losses, with the Raven Guard being the first to field it. Mark VII armor didn't see action until the last year of the Heresy. I've read somewhere that it saw use first during the Siege of Terra. For Sigismund, I would say that he most likely had an embellished version of Mark III armor. Perhaps you can buy one of FW's Mark III Command Squads and modify the Centurion's armor? Sigismund will definitely need a new helmet. Leif Bearclaw
Depends on the era, even if custom, it would probably still be based off an established armour mark though. Outbreak of the Heresy, as a senior Fist captain, either Mk IV (the most up to date and advanced) or Mk II (vintage relic of earlier service). For Terra, either remaining in II/IV, or thanks to battle damage, switching to VI, as that mark was famously used by the Palace defenders. talos402000
Sigsmund would have used artificer custom designed armor. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289347-armour/#findComment-3648828 Share on other sites
Phoros
Well, is that a picture of Sigismund? Looks like a MkIV torso with a tabard, and a helmet similar to the Company Champion from the Command Squad set. Sviar
Thanks for the replies. I think I'll go with MK IV. I have acually found a GK helmet that look quite similar.
