scatmandoo
Indeed, though the Hellhound benefits from being faster and a different FOC slot. The Banewolf is still one of my favourites as it's perfect for lying in ambush or surging forth to support assaults :) I find my fast attack filled with valk/vendetta and armoured sentinels though and having the longer range with better armour outways the faster speed. The banewolf I find is normally dead before it gets a chance to do anything due to its reputation and criminally short range Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289410-departmento-munitorum-5th-6th-edition-changes/page/4/#findComment-3661401 Share on other sites
WarriorFish
That's why they need to be good at skulking :P Besides, if my opponent is going for the Banewolf(s) then he's not going after the other stuff so you capitalise on that. A unit with a big target on it is a tactical resource don't forget :) I'm all for people using the Eradicator, though you'll have to get used to me saying "I told you so" and "I was using the Eradicator before it was cool" all the time  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289410-departmento-munitorum-5th-6th-edition-changes/page/4/#findComment-3661414 Share on other sites
Jolemai
What do you guys think of the Lasgun Array on the Chimaeras? Kierdale
What do you guys think of the Lasgun Array on the Chimaeras? (Totally called it! :P ) I will say this: it makes me reconsider how many special weapons I put in my veteran squads which advance. Is it worth still taking three for when (if?) you eventually dismount? FlamingDeth
My question about them, do they count as weapons for weapon destroyed results? As neat as splitting all that fire is, protecting your multilaser would be even neater. Well now, I think you've just found the silver lining! :) I wasn't overly keen on losing a fire point to them but that's an interesting point. I'd certainly insist say they count as a weapon for such results. WarriorFish
I've not thought about them, I'm still in mourning over the loss of the PBS... WarriorFish
The unique and good powers, yes. Now they're just a glorified psyker squad with little benefit to bringing more models Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289410-departmento-munitorum-5th-6th-edition-changes/page/4/#findComment-3663639 Share on other sites
Jolemai
Aye. I'm trying to see what it is that they bring to the table. I suppose you can go for the psyker bomb approach to games but... Kierdale
How about an Enginseer aboard a Vendetta for Power of the Machine Spirit to split fire...worth it or do you feel it is too expensive? I really wish we got cool Wargear like chaff launchers and infrared targeting from the iA books. Kierdale
A good point. That would be a rather expensive bird! Unassociated, someone's made the new commissar model, but using the commissar `head` from Nork's shoulder...GW Jimboucho has a photo on their FB page.
