brother_contagion
What exactly would/do Destroyer Blades look like? Are they mechanical? Big rollers (similar to the Orks version)? Or just blades sticking out of the front? Has anyone modeled Destroyer Blades before? Excessus
Just go with anything that looks hurtful at the front. If you have old chaos codexes lying around you can check them out for fun convertions. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289489-modeling-destroyer-blades/#findComment-3651180 Share on other sites
Iron-Daemon Forge
3rd ed Codex Chaos Space Marines show a Khorne Predator with a smaller version of the Ork death roller on the front, just lot of spike & cover in blood. If I remember right, the 3.5 codex Chaos Space Marines saw something like this for a Black Legion Khorne Rhino, but it also added the arms from the Ork Deff Dread back when it was metal. Maybe worth looking that the plastic Killer kan kit as well from the Ork range. Maybe use the Dozer blade from the Vindicator or Imperial Guard set & just add lot of spike & blades. Forté
The Slaanesh daemon chariots have some nasty looking rolling blades. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289489-modeling-destroyer-blades/#findComment-3651283 Share on other sites
Tenebris
Well simply cutting some plastic from the sprues, spiking it at the top and gluing it on the vehicle should do the trick. Remember that such blades should be far from flimsy things, the chaos space marines ram tough things with them and they would not want their blades to snap at the first friction. Xenith
Any/all of the things that you mentioned. Dont forget sharp bone-talons on mutant arms growing from the tank itself. NoLifeKing
according to my understanding, the spikes that we are provided in our tank boxes are supposed to be representing those destroyer blades? Is it possible to vary each blade set so they wouldn't all hit at the same time?
