Cyndakill
So I'm working my way through building my homebrew chapter at the moment (dear god why did i ever choose white armour) and was wondering how people do company colours on vehicles etc or if people even bother with them? Aradiel
iirc apart from rhinos wich are assigned to specific companies, the other vehicles belong to the armory are are attached to battlegroups as needed. so no company markings for them. campaign and army badges are a diferent issue. so as for the question, i dont bother at all with them Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289490-company-colours-on-vehicles/#findComment-3651201 Share on other sites
Quixus
I probably wouldn't bother but with a mostly white it could work to use the company colors on the indentations on the sides of the land raider for company colors as the black on the Iron Warrior Chaos Land Raider. The Rhino chassis and all its variants have similar indentations. Disruptor_fe404
Silver is my Chapter colour, black is the Company colour, and white is the Captain's heraldic colour:  http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v515/Disruptor_fe404/40K%20WiPs/penitent_tangent_22.jpg  That being said, if it wasn't the Captain's ride, there'd be far less black and probably no white. Razblood
I also have a white DIY Chapter and the way I plan to approach it is a circle in the Company colour containing a white roman numeral. Warpsmith_Johnson
Assuming only marine vicks, I would either go with the previous idea of placing a device with the color inside or bordering with a squad numeral as appropriate, paint a a stripe down the centerline in the appropriate color, or you could paint it in the inset portions of the armor, with the portions of the front slope that connects the two front insets being painted the same color. netminder69
I thought typically the Company color was displayed as an appropriately colored circle field with a roman numeral on said field. Warpsmith_Johnson
I think that depends on the chapter. Personally, I prefer what will make your models look better.
