'Morning, brothers.

Need some help from you enlightened ones =)

Where does the inspiration for the white patterns on Corax's armour pattern come from? I've searched for native american symbols and patterns but haven't quite found anything similar, is it FW-made?

Also, the symbols on his gorget below.

Thanks in advance.

Book in hand, they look Norse/Celtic to me. I'd lean more towards Norse because Corvus is shown with two bird skulls/feathers attached to his armour (Corvus Corax = sci. name for the Common Raven; Huginn and Muninn = Odhinn's ravens a.k.a. 'Thought' and 'Memory')

Sorry Slips, but not definitively Polynesian. Norse scroll work had numerous styles, including 'beaded' varieties. Numerous examples here.

yeah, I see it now, definitely but, I see this more:

than this: (click on it, the clear background doesnt help tongue.png)

But that might just be me, honestly; but I see the similarities.

...Also the rather unsubtle nudging from FW linking the Carcharodons Astra to the Raven Guard; and I may be wrong but I believe Polynesians come into more contact with Sharks than the Norse did tongue.png

Best example being:

Even though this is Fan Art tongue.png
