Timeframe on the remaining legions?

Both Imperial Fist, Sons of Horus, Iron Warriors, and Word Bearers are Praetor equivalents. The Ultramarines will need to split their characters between someone who stays on Calth and someone else who fights in the larger conflict. Calth is fun and all, but this Imperium Secundus thing is kind of a big deal, and we need to see how many Ultramarines have survived to actually do something.

I'm less concerned about stats for Sang, than the model.

The other Primarchs have been pretty good with one really awesome and one not too hot.

For me it comes down to the wings and how they are positioned. I'd like to see an aggressive pose, not one where he's just standing around.

I had heard rumours back when Betrayal was released that they had started the design process for Sanguinius already. One of the things that Forge World has emphasized is that they want the Primarchs to look right, and I can see a fan favorite like Sanguinius be a top priority.

I wonder if the Death Guard will be receiving an update/supplement for the final Battle of Terra to account for their falling to Nurgle while en route.

Perhaps new units, rules, and suitably corrupted models of Mortarion, Typhoon, etc.

Take it as a given. There's going to be multiple lists, that's confirmed. The Age of Darkness list is there to represent the Legions throughout the Great Crusade, with variations employed between them according to their speciality and influence of the Primarch. There's planned to be one during the midst of the Heresy, that reflects the changing nature of the Legions and one for Terra where they've reached the end of their particular roads, whether that be changes to their organisation or fighting style or due to the influence of the powers of Chaos

I thought that some of the Wolves were in the studio getting designed, but they stopped after realizing what a big project Prospero was going to be. I would really enjoy having my Dark Angels come through first instead of waiting another year :D

As for the Ultramarine Rite of War, I could see it requiring your tactical squads being 20 man minimum to reflect the large nature of Legion

This... This is great news indeed! :D

The only thing that prevented me from starting a DG army was because I knew that the models will only be good for early- and mid-Heresy battles, since by the time they reached Terra, they were all Plague Marines.

My existing force of GC/HH WEs should be safe. As of the Shadow Crusade, they are still white and blue with a minimum of overt Khornate influence. Although that may change now that A D-B has turned Angron into one of the first Daemon Primarchs.

I wonder if we'll see the more corrupted/Daemon Prince versions of the Primarchs... Those would be some awesome models.

Actually, Magnus was chronologically the first Daemon-Primarch (as seen in Fulgrim, where Magnus contacts Horus after the Drop Site Massacre, and confirmed in Aurelian, where Daemon-Magnus is present at the Primarchs war council).

With regards to special characters, I imagine that there will be one Forge World created character and one book character (Raldoron for the Blood Angels, Ventanus for the Ultramarines, Corswain for the Dark Angels, Ahriman for the Thousand Sons, Bjorn for the Space Wolves, and Yesugei for the White Scars are my bets). I think we'll see only moderate changes to the Dark Angels, Blood Angels, and Space Wolves since they're already unique armies in 40k.

I'd rather see Khalopolis or Maat instead of Ahriman, he gets way to much screen time.

I'm actually pretty curious about 30k BA units. Sanguinary Guard are largely the same, but all of the other BA hallmarks -- Death Company, faster Rhino engines than everyone else, Death Company, apothecaries charged with protecting the last drops of Primarch blood, and Death Company -- are all decidedly post-Heresy events. Fear To Tread revealed that they've been vampires for longer than we thought they were, but the Red Thirst is only part of the contemporary Blood Angel.

I have no doubt Forge World will introduce some manner of black-painted, saltire-bearing Blood Angels unit, but the Black Rage can't exist until Sanguinius falls in the last moments.

Azkaellon will almost certainly be in. If not the first BA appearance, then the second if FW are doing secondary lists that are Post-Terra.

I'm sure the Red Thirst will show up as well.

For the record, they aren't vampires and James Swallow is basically the Matt Ward of BL writers.

Right, sorry, I forgot.

The Blood Angels aren't vampires. They simply crave the blood of the living, have fangs they use to drink blood, transform their scouts into full Astartes by burying them in special coffins. They maintain special blood rites to keep the thirst at bay, including sleeping in those same coffins every night to filter their blood, and if they don't maintain these rigours, their thirst for the blood of the living can result in Imperial citizens being found drained of blood after they leave the planet.

That's completely different from being a vampire.

Well yeah, that's what I said a few posts ago.

What Black Library's novels have revealed, though, is that the whole "thirst for the blood of the living" part has afflicted the Angels since before the Heresy, longer than we originally thought. Rarer, less severe without the Rage exasperating it. But there, known to Sanguinius but kept secret from every other Legion.
