A while back I started a thread that was to be work in progress shots of a Lamenters army commission I was doing...well, I never got a chance (I forgot...frequently) to update that thread with how I was getting on. But now, they're finished!! so without any further wittering from me here's some pretty pictures (photography is not my strong suite though)

The bases are quite basic as they were initially supposed to match the clients other armies, however that restriction was lifted towards the end of the commission but with looming deadlines I kept them very basic.

Comments are always welcome :D

Awesome work darkwrath. You've done these guys proud. The yellow is excellent, the battle damage is just right, and the checkerboard pattern is executed brilliantly. Shame the client didn't let you go town on the bases though.

Hopefully he'll be so happy he'll want to expand his army so we get to see more of them.

Cheers

Aye, these are beautiful. You have however forgotten to paint one of the purity seals on Death Company #7 (2nd picture, on the right, on his bolt gun) msn-wink.gif

NOOoooo! damn, they are currently winging their way across the pond to the USA. oh well, my client is a capable painter but doesn't have the time, so hopefully a purity seal won't trouble him unduly :D

Thanks for all the positive comments, very proud of the army and I do hope I get some more to do at some point (it has been mentioned, but nothing concrete yet)

These really are phenominal, the best Lamenters I've seen. If you don't mind me asking, would you be willing to share a couple of your methods? I'm really curious about the recipe for that yellow and how you achieved such a convincing but understated batle damage effect.
