I was going to suggest something similar to Armond, but if you've decided, then it would be a moot point, unless of course you made a model to represent the Half Heard (who, if I recall went back to the Luna Wolf colours)

Iacton Qruze - considered a relic of the Luna Wolves/SoH and was given the moniker "the Half Heard" due to his almost constant reminiscing of the glory days (amongst other things). Accompanied those aboard the Eisenstein to eventually warn Rogal Dorn of the betrayal. Featured in "The flight of the Eisenstein".

well, gimme a wargear list and done!

Well, according to his Lexicanum entry after "Flight":

By the time of his secondment as Malcador's 'hand', Qruze had taken to wearing plain grey power armour, completely unadorned by any Legion heraldry. He was gifted with a massive power-blade, smithed on the orders of the Sigilite; double-edged and as tall as an ordinary man, Tisiphone was etched with serpents, screaming faces and shed blood. The sword was handled by Rogal Dorn, who used it to execute Solomon Voss

(thought it best to spoiler it, as I haven't gotten that far into the HH books and not sure who else has). As for a viable wargear list for an army, as I don't have any HH books, I suppose you could give him anything you wanted smile.png

so now my question. should I do him in Luna Wolf or the plain grey? both?



Man I also got to get together some DG stuff. I need to unleash some filth onto Terra!(and not just my language!)

Perhaps you could paint him in such a way that his Luna Wolves colours/symbols are very faded, but just visible enough that there's no doubt as to what his former loyalties were. Not sure how viable that is though (might be a lot of work for one mini...)

@Aquilanus, well this project(and the DG, for that matter) will be a much slower process than usual. Between college, four children and commission conversion work, I'll really have to budget my time.

 

so that is viable

Ok, the Sigilite force seems to be basically building itself(I thought it would!).

Now, I need to lay down some rough plans for the Death Guard. I seem to be really drawn to WWI. hey, it's the "Great War" (though I can personally attest, there is nothing great about war). I just like the whole feel of it all.

1. Helmets. I really like the good ol' British combat helmet.

I really like the brim on this, gotta find a way to incorporate this into the "trench" elements of my force. I would also like to do some other things to denote rank. probably something like the "Pickelstraube"(sp?) top spike. luckily, the DG do this already.

this was believed to be the first SMG. it might be tough to incorporate this design woithout just making a twin bolter. Hmmmmm.
