Pre Heresy Iron Hands and AdMech

Good morning folks. Here are a few pictures of some iron hands that I have been working on at the studio. I have always wanted to paint a pre heresy army but never had the cash to do it so this was a super fun commission, them new FW kits are a joy to paint.

I cant really claim credit for the blue black, just a happy coincidence. The
highlights on the tanks are done with an airbrush using black vallejo surface
primer mixed with grey. The surface primer is a very bluey black and this
really shows through. by doing a couple of highlights in this way the blue
seems to become more intense. personally im not a fan or airbrush primers for
actual undercoats but they do run through an airbrush really well and when
highlighting black or working from grey to white I cant recommend them highly
enough
