Crobat
hey, me again. I just got mi self 2 rhino kits. I like them, and Stormwolf likes them, they are fluffy and everything. Now what I would like to know, what are you ussualy puting on rhinos or you going bare rhinos no upgrades? I am trying to magnetize as much as possible, but for the sake of estetic, or number of pieces I got with sprues, i will have to do some choices. So every thoughts is more than welcome. (and sorry if i missed resamble topic somewhere else, but I did went and searh for it without succes.) Rune Priest Jbickb
I have mine magnetize so they can be Whirlwinds, Razor backs, or rhinos, and 2 can go as predators as well. I just ebay ed the bits for the other weapons and otherwise it's the same chassis. McFisty
At the very least, I suggest magnetizing the dozer blade upgrade. I find that is one of the very best vehicle upgrades for any tank. It might be worth taking extra armor upgrade but that is something you don't have to worry about magnetizing. Crobat
ye so far, i magnetize side doors, so they can be remowed and replaced with magnetized sside sponsons, when and if I will buy them. Now im looking at this hunter missile, whic I am most probbably use for modeling another 2 fangs with rockets, and just put bolter upgrades on to rhinos. I need to find some nice way for magnetizing uper board, so it can be replaced with canon turret after, but i ddin't find any neat solution yet :) I think i went trough whole yt... Vykryl
The top plate stays put without magnets. I just switch back and forth as needed, no glue or magnets required. Grey Mage
DONT glue down the top hatch, whatever you do. Its easy to drop down the other plate that has the turret hole in it anytime you like if you just avoid gluing the top hatch down.I run my rhinos bare-boned. DanPesci
Aye I have 3 (need to expand at some point soon), which i run bare bones, but wihout the hatches/top glued so i can swap out razorback turrets if needs be (and havent needed to magentize) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289910-rhino-standard-gear/#findComment-3660330 Share on other sites
Vykryl
Thinking on Razorbacks and turrets. There is a company that has a $15 (roughly) magnetic turret that comes with multiple gun types so you just swap the barrels to show what you want. I'll have to look that up again Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289910-rhino-standard-gear/#findComment-3661148 Share on other sites

I'll have to look that up again I prefer forge plant, they have a flamer, ac, and plasma alternative for the razorback. They also have an alternate hb top with extended barrels and freehanging ammo belts Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289910-rhino-standard-gear/#findComment-3661587 Share on other sites
Vykryl
The one I was thinking of is from Chapter House for $17.50. Has all options except multimelta. I liked the Forge Planet turrets as well. Got my turret from Puppets War for $8, supposed to just be twinlinked assault cannon but it came with a heavybolter too. Crobat
thank you people for all responses. :) that helps alot. about top hatchet (the big one) I manage to magnetize it :Dnow i can turn rhino upside down and shake it without droping it. I glued both dors togather, so I have one big plate, and took 8x 1/8" (3mm) round magnets and place them under the hinges of doors. I had to remove some plastic and glued some small pieces... but i think it looks prety well, hiding the surgery from table top wiev even when opened. turrets, are now all magnetized, they arent really hard, since there is nothing to display inside driver cabine, I just glued one thick sprue piece under neath, and mangetize it and same on the other side of turret. (i can post some pictures or something if anyone interested in near future) tomorow im running my first try with rhinos, I will most probbably take them bare, as you suggested, and see how it goes.
