Scribe
Oh, I'll be eagerly awaiting my Tyrant Siege Terminators, too (instead of glueing havoc ML to my CSM TDAs). It's all a matter of priority, though. Gal Vorbak, for instance, have great models in the CSM possessed (which propably every CSM player already owns because they look gorgeous, yet never used because they suck ruleswise). No, I want FW, Bulky (aka bigger) Gal Vorbak. I dig the possessed, I really do, but compared to FW's potential? I would drop massive cash on larger, FW crafted possessed. 20 of them, right now. TDF
Could this book contain rules for the White Scars? Seeing as they're currently the only legion not associated with any book, and Chondax is fairly appropriate for the title Conquest. AGPO
Personally although I'd love to see the IX Legion ala Forge World, I'd rather they take the time to do it properly. A couple of conversion kits and a set of rules for a Primarch model which would still be years away would be a disappointment after the last three releases. That said from a neutral stand point if they were to do a stop gap Signus makes sense - Daemons already have a full set of rules, whilst the Blood Angels' unique units would presumably be Sanguinary Guard and some kind of veteran assault squad. The former already has minis and the latter would be easily converted from existing kits until FW could make something shiny. I would suggest though that there is a more logical stop gap, namely the Great Crusade. You already have all the generic minis for the legions, and Imperial Army and other human civilisations could be easily represented using Imperial Guard models. Xenos races such as the Orcs and Eldar (Dark and Craftworld) already have full rules sets. A couple of unique rules sets for foes such as the Megarachnids or the Interex would be fantastic, and players could always convert and proxy their own versions whilst FW cleared its back log. It'll need to have at least two loyalist legions in it. I mean, other than the 1000 sons the traitors are done until their transformation books. Loyalists only need one entry, whereas the Traitors need two - one which give you a pre/early Heresy army replete with background and another which covers their fall up to the Siege of Terra. It makes sense to release the traitors at a faster rate. Marshal Rohr
All loyalists so far have 2 units though. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289915-heresy-book-ivconquest/page/5/#findComment-3662033 Share on other sites

Iron Hands Fanatic
3 actually if you include the Iron Father Iron Father is an upgrade for the Praetor - if you want loyalists with 3 units, look at the RG Storm Eagle Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289915-heresy-book-ivconquest/page/5/#findComment-3662064 Share on other sites
Greyshift
I think AGPO might be on to something, the title conquest could well refer to the great crusade. A book focusing on and expanding on the legions during the crusade would be straightforward to make and popular, just look at all the attention the crusade era imperial fist got (metallic armour and yellow arm/pauldron) after the extermination preview video. It wouldnt need any extra minis just a lot of fluff. BFeeder
By "Conquest" maybe it's referring to the "Conquest of Manachea" which is where the participation/open gaming is going to be set. From the description, it looks like it's a Hive world and has a jungle moon of Endor Manachea Mortis. Here's hoping they cover the IX, it would be nice to have shoulder pads and a load of artificer kit to play with Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289915-heresy-book-ivconquest/page/5/#findComment-3662511 Share on other sites
Nehekhare
compared to FW's potential well, that is a more general problem. how can anything be good compared to its potential? ;) everything, in time. 30k battlefleet??? THIS!!! edit: btw there are news about a space battles game written by andy chambers (invented BFG) from the guys doing dropship commander. they had a giant ship at salute. I'd rather have him do BFHeresy, though) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289915-heresy-book-ivconquest/page/5/#findComment-3662555 Share on other sites
