Recommended Posts

Thanks a lot gents. I think I will make a guy just like the art I posted but I fell in love with the model I created so I I've stuck with him, you know what it's like when you love a model and pose lol and sorey no updates. Hopefully Saturday night or Sunday evening an update will be at hand

Oooooh another model I've made (hides face) lol it's a compulsive disorder I swear to god lol

I decided to make him into another one and keep my original Cassius as is and just re base him onto a 32mm base (who I've added a pic to the update to show him)

So with out further a due here is

Chaplain Marius Alastar, one of the last true blooded sothans.

Second to High Chaplain PTOLEMAEUS

Marius - derived from Mars in Rome from the God of war

Alastar- meaning "defender of mankind"

Super turbo mega awesome. I think I've found the helmet to go on my Deathwatch Cassius :D

That is one of the most badass chaplains I've ever seen. As a great proponent of the use of Night Lords helmets, I say: "Great work!"

One small thing though: the Crozius' eagle tip is fairly off angle compared to the haft. You might wanna fix that before priming and paint.

Gentlemen thank you very much for your comments......I've ended up actually started to paint said chaplain (hides face again lol) incoming pictures

attached the helm (not glued) to see how it looks painted up on the body.

All the black and yellow parts all based

Next step is do all the black armour and metal parts then look at the model once the black is done and look at OSL the eyes in terms of where I'll place it and how much

Gentlemen thank you so much for the comments, and biohazard, this so happens to be an update comment back brother.

So I've gotten the OSL done and finished on the chaplains eye lenses, now I didn't want some massive amounts of OSL but enough to give a more 'evil' look, given the brutality look of the pose I've done and made.

Unfortunately the light has washed out the blends on the bone helm and made it look very flat. But you can see the OSL just right hopefully. (Day light shots will be taken with the right back ground once he's finished)

Right into other parts of my project, my third tactical squad is getting some work in and I've gotten a lot done on the squads trainee 'medic' (counts as a normal bolter marine) as I wanted each squad to have its own look and indentity

He's still a work in progress but yeah.

Last part. Last night I had to baby sit my nieces (my brother lives 40m next door to me, so no long walk) lol

So as I needed to black out a lot of armour parts I decided to take the baby sitting seriously and get my black armour let's done on my tanks by hand

Land raider only had one side done in the end, but I managed to get this started to one of the rhinos

"For the ghosts of sotha"

Your work continues to inspire me and the yellows and blacks of my fists:)

What colors are you highlighting your black(I'm on a mobile most of the time and sifting through your many pages is a little challenging if you've already given your recipe)
