I know of this warp turbulence called LifeTM for it has affected my own work this past year most frustratingly. Aiming to get rocking on my small warband through the holiday season. Hmm I'm not sure you're quite getting the whole 40k thing... More seriously, are you serious? A big blade on the edge of a piece of wood was been a mainstay warfare for millenia before we decided standing further away form each other while fighting was a better idea. Spears, Halberds, bilhooks, pikes and all variants thereof are all perfectly lethal; you just might need a bit of room to swing or stab them most effectively. That Scythe in particular has a grip very near the weapon head, so you can effectively use it like an extra big dagger for stabbing if there isn't room for a swing.
