As long as it ends "-os" or "-us", as they roll off the tongue best, I don't think it matters as that name won't identify the Chapter you're writing about.

How about Praetors of Knossos? Lends itself well to the use of Minotaurs bits (minus the whole Minotaur motif, of course).

It's an idea I haven't seen in an IA, the use of ashes in the reconsecration of their armour is especially cool

As for the older name of the Chapter...well, I do like leaving puns or nods to certain things (as long as they aren't too obvious or detract from the work), but:

Praetors of:

Cinis (means "Ashes", see also Cineribus)

Excidium (means, depending on context I suppose - I know little about Latin [Thanks google translate! ] "Destruction", "Annihilation", "Subversion" or "Overthrow" - a portent of what was to come..?)

Cinis and Knossos both sound neat. But Juan's right -- you don't want to spend too much thought on a name that's destined to be thrown away. Them's brain cells you could spend on the rest of the IA instead!
