The Lies Tell the Truth - Peeling Back Alpharius’ Origin

I agree that the account shown in First Heretic was a vision shown to Lorgar by a daemon and therefore not credible evidence. It largely showed Lorgar what he expected to see though it's interesting that it apparently gave him a chance to learn of the existence of Omegon. Possibly a true revelation to sell a lie.

That wasn't Lorgar. It was Argel Tal and the other original Gal Vorbak.

It largely showed Lorgar what he expected to see though it's interesting that it apparently gave him a chance to learn of the existence of Omegon.

That makes no sense.

You can't say "well, Alpharius and Omegon weren't actually launched in the pod together, the gods only showed it to Argel Tal that way because that's how he expected to see it" when Argel Tal has no expectation, no suspicion, hint, or inkling that Omegon is a person, factor, or concept that exists.

It gets even weirder when you realize Lorgar was not the one shown the vision and only knows about it through Argel Tal's retelling.....

But actually, Lorgar does say that he sees well over ten thousand possible futures at some point, most likely during his own pilgrimage. Whose to say that he wasn't made aware of Omegon at that point in time?

Sheed Ranko remembering Omegon's memories is the most reliable source for an origin.  Whatever secrets the twin Primarchs are hiding, their Legionaries are willing to take those secrets to their graves.  It's the ultimate reward for giving up their life for the Primarch, and Ranko seemed rather content with the knowledge.

Edit: grammar
