b1soul
I hope the angel and horus have a fight like kenobi and skywalker in the last starwars. A sword fight which leave whole sections of the ship in ruins and dialogue that leave us heartbroken. Horus: The Emperor has turned you against me Sanguinius: You have done that yourself! In all seriousness though...I hope with all my heart that BL can manage better dialogue than George Lucas Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/290221-will-horus-speak-to-dorn-sang-and-the-khan-before-the-end/page/2/#findComment-3666468 Share on other sites
Greyall
The Khan I'm not so sure, but if any Primarchs are going to demand answers, Dorn and Sanguinius are those Primarchs, though for different reasons. Dorn will seek to hear a confession, Sanguinius might even attempt a repentance - and die because of it. Inquisitor Kravin
I hope we don't get cheesy/melodramatic dialogue or laborious exposition but I think there should be some dialogue. After seeing how close Sanguinius and Horus were in the prologue of Fear To Tread I think we need to see the contrast at the end. Sanguinius making one last attempt to get Horus to repent, knowing that it is hopeless but that he has to try nevertheless as it is just part of who he is. His compassion is his greatest strength and weakness. Horus rejecting it bitterly, mocking Sanguinius because deep down he knows that Sanguinius is and always has been the better man. The Khan and Horus were once close and Horus thought that the Khan would join him. Horus will be bitter that Khan didn't join him and the Khan will be angry at Horus for turning some of his men against him. Whether Horus would make one last appeal to the Khan in an attempt to tip the balance I don't know, I think his pride would prevent him but if he did then Khan could point out that Horus always underestimated him, just like everyone else did. Dorn seems the most idealistic of the Primarchs. The one who valued the ideal and dream of Unity above his own ambitions. He will be angry but I think he would refuse any attempt at communication. His response would be one of, "Your deeds have said enough. I have no interest in hearing your poisoned words." Greyall
Dorn might not have the time, he'd definitely forgo any confession if it clashed with him managing the Palace's defenses, but otherwise he'll be first on the line to hear from the bastard. Actually, it's the Emperor that seems less likely to want any explanations, to me. He can probably see farther than his sons, so he'll sense the Chaos Gods' hand in all this and shake his head, whatever motives Horus had to resent his father were long ago turned into something monstruous. He'll want his son back, and he'll probably hold back more than he wants to, but he knows how the fan started and who flung the dung.
