sallyoz
Greetings Brothers I need your wisdom , I have accummulated 1 Crowe mini, 1 draigo mini, 2 boxes of gk termies and 3 boxes of pa gk. Apart from the obvious purifer and paladins as troops how would you organise this collection and suggested load outs. Please be aware that I will not (at the present ) be adding to these models. Thanks brothers Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/290255-army-composition/ Share on other sites
Reclusiarch Darius
Crowe and Draigo are terrible in 6th. I'd count-as an Inquisitor or Coteaz using Crowe's model. Draigo can be used to count-as a Grandmaster. You don't have enough infantry models to make a viable list. You need at least 20 PA models. 10 Terminators is probably enough for now. So, going with just the models you have; HQ: Coteaz (100 points) Grandmaster w/hammer (180 points) Elites: Flame Knight w/halberd, Purifier w/hammer, 4 x Purifiers w/halberds, 4 x Purifiers w/psycannons (295 points) Troops: (2) Justicar w/hammer, Terminator w/hammer+psycannon, 3 x Terminators w/hammers (225 points each) Justicar, Knight w/psycannon, 3 x Knights (110 points) 1,135 points. So drop say the Strike squad and maybe some upgrades and you're on 1k. You need to get more models; Mandatory for 6th: - At least another squad box. I'd get three more, it'll let you field two Purifier squads and a Strike squad all at full strength. Which is realistically the maximum number of PA dudes you'll ever field. - Dreadknight. He's just so effective against the problem units of 6th, he's fast, and he can put a heavy incinerator in the enemy backline Turn 1. After a while, you'll want 2 of them. - Coteaz model. Because Knights just don't work without him in 6th. - Inquisitor models. The official ones are nice, but you can mod just about any Marine or human infantry model to be one. Optional: - Henchmen. You can do this with Chaos Cultists, Imperial Guardsmen, Stormtroopers etc basically any human models will work. Kitting them out is a whole other story. Henchmen give us cheap scoring, shooting and staying power. Backed up by 'Prescience' Inquisitors, they're very effective. - PsyDreads. Arguably lost a bit of power in 6th (stupid Hull Points), but they still kill Flyers and most ground vehicles quite efficiently and at 48" (which is huge, as most of our guns are 24").
