My painting skills don't do honor to this model. Still it's not for the lack of effort.

14 different paints but end result looks pretty much the same as the stage with 3 colours...

Nice. Look forward to progress on paint, I like the look of these older Chaos Dreads, but always shied away myself because I learned on plastic.

I'm slowly reworking one of the RT era Chaos Dreads, and I've got a metal Throne of Judgment that's waiting to be converted. These big metal multipart figures are intimidating to me because I'm not used to pinning and whatnot.

Mix of brute force, freezer and boiling water.

I tried to carve off the decade(?) old greenstuff but it didn't really like that so I went online to find some help... Many people were suggesting different kind of chemicals but I didn't have any available so I tried boiling. After about 10 min the stuff was noticeably softer and I was actually able to peel layers off, however it didn't come off completely. I tried freezing, this made it a little fragile and I were able to chip some fragments off but ended up boiling it some 30 minutes more and after that I managed to clean the most of it.

Then it was fine tuning with tweezers and needle.

Paint was removed with your average nail polish remover and old toothbrush.
