Who can participate:

Anyone can participate on either side (or both if you so wish) but you may only submit models painted in the colours of Space Wolves Chapter or Legion, the official successors or your own DIY successors on the one side and the Dark Angels, the official successor chapters or your own DIY successors on the other side.

 

How to enter the competition:

1. You enter the competition by posting your oaths in this thread in the following manner:

 

 

 

I <<insert your name here>> of the << insert your Chapter or Legion>> make an oath of moment to face my brothers from theVlka Fneryka in an honourable contest of strength and will!

 

For the Lion and the Legion!

 

 

2. Post an image of models along with your oath. The models can be in any state of construction up to a single colour undercoat (This is important)

 

3. When you have completed your oath make another separate post at the end of the thread with the completed images and the following statement:

 

 

I <<insert your name here>> of the << insert your Chapter or Legion>> have kept faith with my primarch and completed my oath of moment.

 

For the Lion and th Legion!

 

4. You may now make your second oath of moment in the same manner as described above by making a separate post in the same thread.

 

5. You may also update your original thread with your completed images and your second oath if you wish but you muxt remember to post separate posts for each of your two oaths and their completions.

 

Chapter or Legion:

You may paint your models in chapter colours or legion colours. It's entirely your choice.

Duration: Three Months.

Number of oaths:

No restriction for the number of oaths!

There is only one deadline, the 1st of August.

Those who complete their first oath can make a second one and so on.

You may submit as many models as you wish for each oath.

Painting Content:

Infantry models fitted with Tactical Dreadnought Armour or Runic Armour can be entered.

Characters with TDA / Runic Armour

Special Characters inTDA / Runic Armour or Artificer Armour

TDA: Any version of this armour is acceptable

Runic Armour: Must be clearly modeled. (Standard Power armour is not acceptable as a "counts as")

Artificer Armour : Must be clearly modeled. (Standard Power armour is not acceptable as a "counts as")Only acceptable for special characters.

 

Each individual model must be armed and painted to be codex legal

You DO NOT need to paint units that are codex legal. (Individual TDA models can be entered)

Score:

Simple point system as below.

 

• Award 2 Point for Characters in TDA / Runic Armour / Artificer Armour.
• Award 1 Point for Individual Models in TDA or Runic Armour.
• Award 1 Additional point for every five models (Excluding independent characters) painted as an additional bonus point.

 

Time Line:
THUR 1 MAY 2014: Acceptance of oaths

FRI 1 August 2014: End date

 

The time line has been matched to the other painting mega event the E Tenebrae Lux III and all participants are strongly encouraged to submit their relevant entries to both events!

Awards:
 

Banner of Titanas Bellii: All participants may wear the Banner of Titanas Belli as long as they have made at least one oath of moment regardless of their completion.

Titanas Belli Trophy

 

The Bellum Aeternus series of events will be recurring events and the commemorate the great rivalry between the Wolves and the Angels the Titanas Belli Trophy has been commissioned. This trophy in the form of a plaque will be awarded to the winning forum and will be displayed in a special thread within that forum. 

 

In future years, during each E Tenebrae Lux contest the total points scored by the Spacewolves and Dark Angels forums will be compared and the trophy will be awarded to the highest forum and hence this will be a trophy that may well move between the forums a number of times in the coming years.

Quick question, due to some bad planning on my part (ie getting stuck into the bolter part of the cataphracii) can I vow the sargent and heavy weapon half of a 10 man squad (5 models 1 Sgt, 2 heavy weapons) as counts as bolters for a game legal squad? I believe this is legal in etl. Othwewise anyone got any tips on stripping forge world resin?

Sorry mate, that doesn't count. The most you can have is undercoating..... If the Path to Redemption comes back hwoever ...that will let you start at any point...

Does Ebay count?

All of the above are kit-bashed. The Librarians are mostly leftover bits from DW Command Squad boxes (robed fronts, arms, some weapon hafts etc) then bits from ebay (GK Terminator Torsos, DW Command Squad Legs, Crux Shoulder Pads) and then some other bits from DA Upgrade sprues and the like.

The Chaplains are helmets bought from Europe that are pretty awesome, built on ebay and bits as well. Torsos are ebay, legs are extras from DA Upgrade sprues and some legs from ebay, etc.

I have substantially less than retail in the above list, I assure you (until you take into account the non-required bits I guess). I pay almost $3 each for the capes from the DW Command Squad box, and I need (1) more to make sure all my kit-bashed chaplains have capes.
