so i got lucky on ebay last week and won a lot of 4 land speeders , which brings me to 6 total .

now my question is what do i do with them all . I remember som discussion on beasts of war back when they still covred warhammer about deepstriking them in kitted out with 2 multi melts and poping tanks but that was back in 5th .

does anyone use them in 6th and are they effective  ?

I prefer to run with a heavy bolter typhoon- strength 8 shooting that ignores most saves is far to valuable to pass up, and on a fast moving platform with a built in saving throw? Heck yes, great for hunting down tau suits, getting side armor on IG tanks- particularly good against artillery and chimera- or even getting some rear armor shots on eldar later in the game.

If I wasnt running that, itd be dual or single meltas, no question.

Landspeeders are AMAZING!!!!! and i recently discovered how to make them even more amazing. Land speeder javelin for 95 points you can take cyclone missile laucnher, multi melta and 2 hunter killer missiles. Now here is the sexy THING!!! its AV 11 front and side and and and IT HAS OUTFLANK!.

Its a tiny bit more than the standard typhoon speeder but you get so much more!!! these babies are devastating!!!  5 Str 8 shots the turn they show up!! and if you get good position anything will die.

Alternative if you just wanted to use standard speeders I always think its worth giving them precience if you are taking a squadron!

Erm... By the power of Rune Priest?

Yeah, I suppose that's it.  If the Squadron still happens to be within 12" of the Rune Priest then that'd work.

I often run my Rune Priest on a bike, so its not that hard to do. Still, they dont really need it- its just the bloodclaw bikers need it less.
