Gripharius Posted May 30, 2014 Share Posted May 30, 2014 I just finished reading this and Engines of War, which are novellas 1 and 2 in a trilogy, apparently. I recommend both, by the way. They are good reads -- nothing stellar, but better than some of the whiffs in the SMB series. There are some good characters, and I enjoyed seeing the Doom Eagles back in action. I don't recall a specific Nurgle war band being mentioned, but... *** Minor Spoiler Alert *** There are some Death Guard Plague Marines led by a Chaos Champion called Naracoth. There is a second Chaos Champion involved, but apparently we won't meet him until the 3rd novella. Engines of War has one, and I found his interactions with the Ultramarines kind of interesting. Its a novella, mind you, so it was just a line or two in the story.
