My army so far... (picture test)

Hello gents,

Trying to practice posting pictures before I make a vow. Thought I would also ask for some help putting together a 500pts list for a campaign I signed up for at a game shop that I went to after being prompted by the Brothers. I am nervous though because I don't have much experience, but I let the organizer know and they have set me up with two guys who seemed interested in helping a new player.

I have two 500pt challenges over the next two weeks.

Here is my army so far, I attempted to build a gallery as well, tell me what you think, and how I should run these against a tau or a Dark Angels army

Holy hell! You managed to do so much in less than a month? I started 4 months ago and I've barely reached 750 points. Well done!

Anyway, in the one game I managed to win (out of 5), I used Rune Priest, leading a tooled up Grey Hunter pack with everything (wulfen, banner, powerfist, melta) in a Rhino, as well as a smaller pack of 6 with plasma, with a lasplas razorback. The lasplas was my backup heavy support and actually managed to blow up a soul grinder in first round: LASCANNON FOR THE WIN! Of course, this was still in sixth edition but still, enabled me to do something against his heavy support.

I have been having great fun and success with my wolves so far. I have won 3 of 4 in the campaign I am involved in. I lost my last game due to some questionable rules interpretation. I was playing some plague marines (with zombies, helbrute, maulerfiend, and plague marines) The guy I played ( a bit of a strange dude) was very finicky on the rules.

I am new to the scene and was basically just taking what he said as gospel. He wouldn't let me deny with my wolf tails, and insisted that blast weapons were not effected by prescience. He also changed the game type at the end of the game from scouring to something else since we had no "fast attack," which gave him the win because he held the centre objective. (objective went from 1 pt to 3). I really want to win at everything I do, but I don't want to be confrontational, and I want to be seen as a fun guy to play with so I didn't make a stink.

I know I've said this before, but a big thank you to this community for supporting my hobby, and for all of the stuff I have learned from you guys.

Vlka Fenryka for the win! For the Rout, the Aett, and all the hot looking Fenrisian ladies waiting for a visit from the sky gods after a long bloody campaign. :P LOL, I think the Rune and Wolf Priests are about to visit me to check if I got tainted by Slaanesh while visiting 1d4chan.

Hope you can share your experiences of your wins with us Catsmasher. No need super detailed battle reports, but there's few victories reported by the sons of Russ as it is now.

thats a bit rough mate. theres a few of those blokes around, but your best defense is to study that big book of rules so next time he trys to pull the wool you can point out his mistake.

Wait what..he changed the game type at the end of the game??? Hhaha wow. Good for you for being such a good sport about it, im in the same boat as you in that i play for fun, and dont like to get confrontational over gribbly rule interpretations, but changing what you are fighting over at the end of the game so he wins is ridiculous. (the blast weapon and wolf tail things are bad enough as they are - unless they changed how blast and prescience works in 7th?).

Anyway, congrats on your 3 out of 4 wins, and on getting a vast amount painted in a short amount of time, ive had about 800 points of models sat about since december unpainted :(

yeah you got 4/4 on moral wins tbh. Pretty sure that prescience is same as normal re-roll for blasts too as it is a failed to hit. Current FAQ on wolf tails is as it reads I think, you can actually use this as well as deny the witch but ofc it needs to be used if you are targeted. I'd be inclined to make sure I check the rules any time that someone tells you that your army cannot use a specific piece of wargear. If for nothing else then just so that I understand the rules better and know how to get the most out of my army. Also I think that most ppl would never complain if you said you just wanted to check the rules on something, it is very difficult to know everything and you would be surprised how often ppl misinterpret the rules (self especially).

I had a lot of help and direction from a friend, as well as the owner of a local FGS,  who supplied the airbrush. The highlights are a bit blotchy on the vindicator, and I regret not taping the hazard lines since they came out crooked.

I am happy with them,  but my next pack of fen wolves is better I feel, and I will post those soon.
