Thorrick
Hey Guys, I've recently joined the forums and thought I'd come and introduce myself and show some of my work. Below are a few pics of some of my better models, mostly HQ conversions and kit bashes. http://i685.photobucket.com/albums/vv212/Thorik/c514eac2-c802-45a2-ba4e-ea9f2a273425.jpg http://i685.photobucket.com/albums/vv212/Thorik/133.jpg One of the first converions I've done for my BA, just a libby in TDA with the head of the staff replaced with a blade and a storm shield made from a cut-down sanguinary guard wing. http://i685.photobucket.com/albums/vv212/Thorik/powerhammerfront.jpg http://i685.photobucket.com/albums/vv212/Thorik/powerhammerrear.jpg http://i685.photobucket.com/albums/vv212/Thorik/stormshielddetail.jpg Sergeant Gideon from Space Hulk from various angles. http://i685.photobucket.com/albums/vv212/Thorik/powerswordfront.jpg http://i685.photobucket.com/albums/vv212/Thorik/powerswordcloak.jpg Lorenzo front and back. http://i685.photobucket.com/albums/vv212/Thorik/sergeantswithgenestealers.jpg Both together with a few genestealers. http://i685.photobucket.com/albums/vv212/Thorik/lemartes.jpg Lemartes with his jump pack swapped with the one from Astorath. http://i685.photobucket.com/albums/vv212/Thorik/captain2.jpg http://i685.photobucket.com/albums/vv212/Thorik/captain.jpg My first captain put together from sanguinary guard and space marine commander parts. The figure is mounted on a pebble from the garden. http://i685.photobucket.com/albums/vv212/Thorik/dante.jpg My version of Dante, saguinary guard married to the jump pack from the Sanguinor. http://i685.photobucket.com/albums/vv212/Thorik/bikelibrarian.jpg My libby on bike, parts from the Dark Angels upgrade sprue and sanguinary guard again. http://i685.photobucket.com/albums/vv212/Thorik/jumppacklibrarian.jpg http://i685.photobucket.com/albums/vv212/Thorik/iumppacklibrarian2.jpg Jump pack libby made from sanguinary guard parts and a converted power staff mounted on a flight stand for a little dynamism. Sorry for posting so many pictures in my first thread but I'm fairly keen to get some of the photos shown, the hobby scene in my area is pretty quiet so it's always a pleasure being able to talk to like minded people. Also apologies for the quality of some of the pictures, unfortunately one of the drawbacks of having to rely on a phone camera.

Midnightmare
All nice work, but the jump libby stands out for me, and great pose (maybe not so good at hiding.....)
Thorrick
Thanks for kind comments all, I tend to have quite a critical eye over my own work but it is always reassuring to receive some positive praise. All nice work, but the jump libby stands out for me, and great pose (maybe not so good at hiding.....) The libby is one of the more dynamic models I've created, although I can't really claim too much in to the pose, it's all done using normal parts from the sanguinary guard kit. I think it's the spear that adds to the effect though, being driven down as it is. Also yes about the not being easy to hide comment, definitely counts as 'modelling for disadvantage' I think. I'll be posting some pics of my Imperial Guard in the IG forum once I've got the pics editted for those who are interested and will put up more Blood Angels stuff once I get some painted. Sanguine Eternal
I like your libby! I did the same thing with one of my Sang Guard models a couple years ago, but he's just got his sword instead of a spear coming down for the killing blow. I think I used the legs you used for your captain model.Welcome to the forum and keep up the nice work!
