MasterofMankind
In Forgeworld's Horus Heresy books, the Ultramarines are listed as beginning mustering at Calth in 005.M31 and the Dropsite Massacre happening in 006.M31. And yet in ADB's "First Heretic", the Battle of Calth happens after the Dropsite Massacre. This would imply that the Ultramarines have been mustering for over a year, but In "Know No Fear' I got the impression that they have begun mustering recently. Is this an inconsistency or just me over thinking things? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/290614-battle-of-calth-inconsistencies/ Share on other sites
Marshal Rohr
It's not an inconsistency. Guilliman was ordered to mobilize ~200,000 legionaries, titan legions, and imperial army regiments from all across Ultramar. That it only took a year is a feat only Guilliman could've done Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/290614-battle-of-calth-inconsistencies/#findComment-3674669 Share on other sites
Kol Saresk
It's not an inconsistency. Guilliman was ordered to mobilize ~200,000 legionaries, titan legions, and imperial army regiments from all across Ultramar. That it only took a year is a feat only Guilliman could've done And the only reason the whole thing took two years to muster was thanks to the Word Bearers "dragging their butts". But again, not an inconsistency since this required the full mobilization almost two entire Legions and their supporting units from across the galaxy.
