I like the guy in the command squad raising his shield. You can imagine him yelling his battlecry, or bellowing orders. As the others have said, that's an impressive vow.

 

I don't suppose you feel like giving up on Dorn and joining Sanguinius and his kin? Those could be some very pretty Lamentors. ;)

Everything for the first vow and most of the models for my second got primed tonight so that everything can get base coated at the same time. By the end of the week everything will get based coated so that I can work on the details over the weekend and next week.

That's a very nice even yellow you have there. If you're doing it all to the quality of those Veterans then this will be a proud force on display.

The paint job is really easy:

Prime black

Spray white from an angle ( I really like the p3 white primer, it goes on thin and covers very well)

Then 3 very thin coats of army painter demonic yellow( the first from the can the next 2 with the airbrush to make sure I get the coverage all over)

Next GW Mephiston red thinned down to get good coverage

GW Orkhide Shade on the green laurels ( I don't know what the new equivelant it)

GW Dheneb Stone as a base for the whites( not sure of the new color)

Vallejo Model Color Leather brown on everything that will be gold

Miniature Charred Stone on all the metal

2 coats on Minitaire Skull White over all of the Dheneb Stone

Thinned GW Balthazar Gold over the brown

GW Seraphim Sepia shade over all but the grey making sure to keep it even over flat yellow so lines don't show up

Dry bush P3 Khador Red on reds

Dry bush GW Shining Gold on golds

Dry rush Minitaire Grmlin green on green

Cover grey with GW Leadbelcher

Highlight with GW chain mail
