[Emperor's Furor]

So I'm planning on doing Dark Angels for my Legion. It covers the numerous fields I want which are:

 

• Different Colour Scheme to 40k
• Access to High Levels of old Tech
• Loyal (Afaik they are, so far)
• Preference of getting to grips with the enemy

What I want from my 1st Legion is an offensive force that uses old age technology to cover their advance where they then get to grips in close combat.

 

Right now I currently have:-

 

• a Veteran Squad equipped with two volkite chargers, two volkite serpentas, a vox, and a sgt with a plasma pistol and power fist
• a Cataphractii terminator squad currently in pieces with the intention of giving them two power swords, three power fists, four volkite chargers and a plasma blaster
• a single rapier carriage with a graviton cannon

I'm wondering how to expand on this and was hoping I could get some advice and feedback on my ideas. Right now I'm considering adding a further two graviton cannons to round out the squad.

 

For the HQ I'm not sure about, I was thinking of maybe the Terminator Cataphractii Praetor with charger and praetor sword from FW.

 

I was thinking of giving the veteran squad a rhino to move about in, but on how to deliver the terminators, I'm unsure, perhaps a spartan or land raider?

 

I'm not sure how to then proceed then, I have a number ideas, a contemptor with a volkite culverine as now they can have them as of extermination, but perhaps that's to slow so maybe an assault squad, or some other type of front line troops like breachers.

 

Then I was thinking of maybe a plasma annihilator to escort the vehicles or a predator with conversion beamer sat at the back of the field but that maybe a little to defensive?

 

So I was hoping you could give me advice and suggestions in how to proceed with the style I want, thanks.

I'm going a somewhat similar route with one if my lists. I'm using whilwind scorpius tanks for loads of ap3 goodness for insta-killing marines and sniping apothecaries. These are supported by outriders with plasma to close the gap and clean up shop on support squads or terminator units.

 

Troops are 15 man tacticals with ccw added and apothecaries.

 

I'm just waiting to build my ironwing list. Predators for days with my fellglaive. Looking back, I could've paid off my wife's car a year ago even with discounted prices.

 

I would say have redundancy in everything. 2 anti tank, infantry, alpha strike units. Anti-air can be solved with a contemptor mortis

A support squad with volkite calivers would be fluffy, and is strong against infantry, albeit expensive. (But space lasers are so cool)

Space lasers are awesome! I'd definitely add a tactical support squad with those, while yelling "Ak Ak Ak!"
