30k - Night Lords

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I will be sharing with you my progress with the VIII legion, based on the artwork seen in Massacre.

Terror Squad Headsman

The skin was painted with flesh colors and glazed with black. Then the skull was added to finish the warpaint effect.

C&C welcome.

I also upgraded the original post with a better picture.

Excellent model and fantastic painting, well done.

Not exactly a critique but shouldnt a severed head be paler due to exsanguination? Plus it doesnt look nearly terrified enough after facing a fearsome Night Lord. But that aside I'm green with envy with your painting skill, brother.

With the head. Not really as its the pumping heart which causes that. With no pumping action the blood would slow and reduce to a slow dripping.

Good point Forte, I never thought of that and I therefore stand happily corrected :)

I'd be very, very tempted to add on a little blood spatter (just a teeny bit) but it isn't my prerogative to give unsolicited painting advice. Nice job with the stump, btw. :tu:
