Ovidius Incertus
So I've got my first Land Raider (and a Stormturkey) to build. I've got a Pred and a Rhino I've build before, but have glued the doors on these shut. I'd like to paint the interior of my Raider and Turkey. I'd also prefer if the front ramps (and/or rear ramp) isn't flappin' around while its moved around the table. Do the front ramps stay up with friction? Or am I going to have to get creative with hiding magnets to keep the doors closed but still able to open to see the interior? I looked on the Google and the Youtube and all the tuts for magnetizing these kits are for sponsons or turrets. ferrus
The assault ramps (the front ones) stay closed on their own nicely, well the raider ones do if you build the lever mechanism thingy Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291015-newbish-question-about-raider-doors/#findComment-3685203 Share on other sites
Kilofix
Raider front has an upper hatch and lower ramp than come together when closed. You can assemble it such that the two 'doors' are linked together by a 'lever' such that when you open the upper hatch the lower ramp also lowers and vice versa. Usually that does a good job of keeping them closed by friction alone. But I magnetize mine all the same. I'll try to take and post a picture of how I did it over the weekend (send me a PM if I forget).
