mixing kits

Recommended Posts

hi all,

before I pry apart some of my old, unpainted terminators for parts - how interchangeable are the Deathwing knights/terminator torsos with the standard TDA kits? i'm hoping that one command box should be able to make some knights then I can mix and match the remaining bits to add some character to some of the more standard looking terminators I have.

Thanks,

If memory serves me correctly they are more or less fine for swapping over between.

The one thing to bear in mind though is that the robed torsos require normally the legs to be in a certain position otherwise it can look weird.

many thanks.

I figured the robed torsos may be a bit like that. back in the day I desecrated any PA tabards (champion/black Templars etc) I could get a hold of to make DW which looked okish then - I don't think they will measure up with the current range very well though even if the poses are a bit static. I reckon from two Deathwing boxes I can make 5-6 stock Deathwing Knights then trick out 2-3 regular termie squads of 5 though I'll have a couple of plain shoulder pads among these or see if I have any spares from the veterans upgrade sprue/forgeworld pads

the other thing I am going to do is put the rw grenade launcher front on a standard bike along with some of the other RW bits to make 4 bikes from the black knights kit- I don't predict major issues with this
