enginseer blob.... sorta?

I was just thinking about engineseers, since they are ic's you can take three and join them all to the same servitor unit, and have an uber repair/potms unit.... 4 seers and 5 servitors ensures autopass blessings of the omnissiah tests, costs 170 points, so pricey, but behind a wall of Russ with a tank commander possibly worth it?

Not worth it, because it would be overrepair? for one tank. For Multiple tanks if would mean that you need to bunch up, not exactly good when facing blasts. In my eyes one of the better uses are putting them in Chimeras, drive 12 and heavy flamer into people with PotMS.

 

Having said that, it is still cheaper than 3 fully decked out separate TP. I would suggest to run 2 TP in one squad of servitors. Servitors are not very competitive, but maybe you can find a nice points/performance point where you can make them work very well.

Enginseers really aren't worth it for the repair ability. They're really more for the power weapon, power armor, and Power of the Machine Spirit. I'm considering placing three of them in a blob for more choppy goodness and they'll hand out benefits to nearby tanks so that they can split fire and such. I'm still hoping the new edition does interesting things with PotMS (targetting flyers?) and really justifies me buying three enginseers.

I used to run 2, and now I'm definitely still gonna run both. I prefer separate too. I also take 2 servitors for one of them, so he can repair if need be (ie: if say, the main gun got busted, low HP, etc...) and both just hand out PotMS to my Lemans. It's pretty awesome!
