SW1
Not fancying buying a kit just get 2 pistols so looking at alternatives. There have been some very different looking plasma pistols I've collected over the years and I'm wondering if it's acceptable to stick to one type of plasma pistol as plasma pistols, then choose a different looking type to use as Serpentas? What do you think? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291067-modelling-volkite-serpentas/ Share on other sites
Molokai
I appreciate that you'd keep them all uniform. In my opinion it's fine. I'd have no problem with it. SW1
Going to have a rummage later to see how many I have of each type. I'm thinking of the chaos one with all the external wires to use as the Serpentas. Also the muzzle would need to be made a lot bigger. Reyner
You could cut off the muzzle on the end of the chaos plasma pistol and then cut a volkite muzzle into it. That might look cool and might be quite easy. Molokai
An easy thing to do(and obvious so you've probably already thought of it) is to paint the neon part a different colour between the two. Lol ... Not got to thinking about colours yet. Now you've mentioned it in my head I think plasma will be blue glow and Volkite will be green or orange glow. Need to have a play around. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291067-modelling-volkite-serpentas/#findComment-3686970 Share on other sites

Emperor's Furor
Ebay or Bits stores would be my suggestion. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291067-modelling-volkite-serpentas/#findComment-3686995 Share on other sites
SW1
Ebay or Bits stores would be my suggestion. Guess I could buy the pack as flog the extra bits. eBay's a pain though as they charge % on the postage as well as the final selling price. Factor in the PayPal fees (which ebay own so they're in effect charging you twice) and your lucky to actually make anything unless you get a bidding war. Valhalla Gaming get Forge World stuff in on a fairly regular basis and they're reliable, with reasonable pricing, although it's pot luck if what you're after is available. SW1
They've not got the bit I want so it's time to decide which one's going under the knife ... http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee214/SW1-SWC/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsf571a1b4.jpg I'm thinking one of the bottom 2 probably the one on the left. Any thoughts? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291067-modelling-volkite-serpentas/#findComment-3689624 Share on other sites
Molokai
Yeah I agree. Bottom left is a good choice. It's the most obviously different from a standard plasma. Plus it just looks cool. That was my thoughts as well. Plus I've got a small bag of them which also helps. SW1
Can anyone take a pic of the barrel from face on for me? Want to get it as close as possible.
