Noctus Cornix
Hey guys, so a friend of mine has recently purchased his own Guard army and I was silver-tongued enough to talk him into making it a traitor guard army and thus commission me to make it. Now he hasn't actually confirmed it yet but he's tempted by the idea of making it a Tzeentch themed force. I'm trying to play with the idea and think of some cool guard color that would look interesting and would also reinforce the Tzeentch feel. Anyone have any good ideas? I'd rather not go with the standard blue and gold color and I'd rather not do anything outrageous. I'd like to keep it simple and gritty Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291226-good-color-scheme-for-a-tzeentch-traitor-guard-army/ Share on other sites

Rev. Tiberius Jackhammer
Maybe only make the leaders noticeably tzeentch-y? Since Tzeentch is the great manipulator, he'd rather have pawns than worshippers! Perhaps black uniforms with blue armbands/shoulderpads - they are tagged as Tzeentch's pawns, but aren't of any true value to him. Chaeron
Love the idea of a Royal Blue... Or indeed any shade, maybe even a riot of Blues... Emperors Immortals
How about a camouflage done in 3-4 shades of blue? You could use black highlights and very bright brass/gold for small details? lhg033
another vote for blues. careful though not to make it look like a genestealer cult Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291226-good-color-scheme-for-a-tzeentch-traitor-guard-army/#findComment-3693404 Share on other sites
Seleucus
As an IG army that has gone traitor, I would expect them to still be wearing their IG uniforms in their previous colours, but to remove all imperial icons etc and replace them with icons/marks/graffiti/tattoos relating to chaos in general and, in this case, Tzeentch, with some part of the armour over-painted in Tzeentchian colours - primarily blue (mostly light blue if you google images!), with yellow, purple and pink. Perhaps a barstardized/Tzeentchified version of their regimental badge on the armour? incinerator950
Nothing wrong with a good ol genestealer cult...Anyway, blue works really well. I would opt to say purple and pink tones coming out with mutation sprues, but ultimately you should probably go for bronze or gold instead. Simple blue wouldn't do it justice.
