A few of us have to get one each and paint Alpharius in other Primarch/Legion colours! devil.gif

Hmm, he'd make a fine Magos Prime too...

But how will you know the model you buy is Apharius? What if they release like 8 separate but almost identical ones and each says "I am Alpharius"?

Hmm, we'll have to have a back-up to be sure.

Okay, in addition to buying one of the dreadfully obvious "Alpharius" models (meaning it cannot possibly be him (unless he's being doubly tricksy in which case...this way lies madness... )) we must also purchase one of the other available Primarch models and paint it in AL colours.

I don't think that's Alpharius* enough... One each of the "Primarchs" painted as Alpharius and then an Alpharius painted in the colours of the other Legions.

Plus one as the Emperor.

And Malcador.

*Alpharius - maybe a new synonym for nerfarious?

Love the model - if it is indeed Alpharius. Only problem is I'm pretty sure Alpharius wields a double ended spear... And that's a sword...
Is he calling our bluff or is it indeed not him... I genuinely think I'm going insane

On a side note for thos who are Game of Thrones fans and has seen season 4. Does anybody imagine Alpharius fighting like Oberyn Martell?

Fixed.

:P

Actually I don't think Alpharius would need to fight like the Red Viper; Oberyn was held back by the need to try and tickle his way past plate armour - and incredibly thick plate armour at that when you consider the bearer - whereas with Imperial/Mechanicus techniology and the innate strengths - like strength xD - of the Primarchs would mean that style wouldn't be a a necessity.

I'm building a Praetor to act as a stand-in Alpharius.  He can represent the primarch on the table until the official model arrives, and then revert to an in-universe stand-in.  I'm still not decided on the bits I'm going to use.  It would help if Forge World would release some suitable helmets.

I think there should be an all-out "Who's Alpharius?" painting competition at some point. Everything (power armooured, of course) counts!

Primarchs as Alpharius, Praetors as Alpharius, Legion Land Raider as Alpharius, etc...

Anyone else hear that gentle snapping sound? I think it was my brain. wallbash.gif

I can better that.. I had the idea to get a little scroll tattooed somewhere hidden with the words "I am Alpharius" on it so that when I die my nerd-friends get a shock xD

Well I like to think that he fought like that normally even if the opponent wore similar armour to him. Fluid and graceful fighting technique, keeping the opponent at arms reach. But with the added ability to thrust hard into torso's even if plated.

And I have read the books yet - that's my summer thing!

I'd love to see FW release a bundle called "Alpharius and Command Squad" and it would just be a Legion Mk IV set but it would cost $115.

And you just receive a box empty except for a small note saying "This wasn't Alpharius..."?
