Deamon Wolf
Ok I have been playing with the Knights of Titian for many many years and most of it has been a little bit of a hodge podge of a few strikes and Dreads ( mostly taken from previous dex ) a large amount of Terminators ( mostly usied Space Hulk 1st Ed ) 5 Dread knights 4 units of purifiers and 3 Storm Ravens ( cool new gubins from our newish 2 1/2 year old Dex ) so I was sitting there this weekend ( Hiding from the demented she deamon ) and counted up my current force of knights and found that I am roughly 1/2 way to having a brotherhood of 100 marines and support vechiels How mad would I be to go for the other half of the brotherhood since the way GW is acting we may be inline for our next dex in about 9 months since the blood angels came out 6 months before our current dex ??? at the moment I am running 4 units of 10 purifires, 2 units of 10 Terminators , 10 Paladins ( Some more in work ) 1 unit of 10 Strikes, 4 Dreadnaughts , 5 Dread knights 3 storm Ravens , 2 Land raiders, 2 Vindicars , 1 Calladus , 1 Evesor, 3 Inquisitors , 1 Squad of warriors with las guns, 1 monkey , Dragio, 1 Captian , 4 Libbys, Crow, Cortez, so as you can see it is a large force so any Ideas would be welcome Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291293-a-brotherhood/ Share on other sites
Valerian
What's the actual question? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291293-a-brotherhood/#findComment-3693837 Share on other sites
warp spider
It depends. It depends on whether being a gamer or a collector appeals to you the most. If you're a collector, you may want to go for it, because it'll look awesome to have a huge army laying around . As a gamer though, unless you regularly play Apoc, it's probably not worth it, as you'll probably never use all of it. Get a titan, they're a lot of fun to build and paint, and can be very rewarding. Or a new army, for some variety. It's totally up to you :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291293-a-brotherhood/#findComment-3693923 Share on other sites
VVolf
I plan on eventually having a brotherhood and inquisitorial strike force. I have even gone so far as to set up general fluff, composition and squad designations. Its one of the most appealing parts of the hobby to me. Though I would never have the time or money for a full chapter. Getting 40ish marines sorted has taken me since the gk book came out. One thing I can say is that it gives you WYSIWYG options. You can equip your units differently so you just take the model with the right wargear. This also goes for unit types - strikes/interceptors/purgation squads/etc. Provided you split the composition up, you should have at least one of every unit eventually. I recommend magnetizing for that purpose, instead. Same outcome, but somewhat cheaper, and takes up much less space. VVolf
But you don't get to see the full company laid out if its magnetized! Plus it gives me something to do lol.
