Sanctic powers....

I've just realized that an inquisitor can take Terminator Armour which awards him with a Daemon Hammer, without being a psyker. Then another psyker in the unit can use the Force power to activate all force weapons in the unit, not incredibly useful but could save some points.

Excellent point.  No sense in spending 30 points to get ML1 in a unit, when you can spend 10.  Of course, the OML Inquisitor is an Independent Character and can attach to any other unit to buff it, whereas the Psyker has to stay in his unit of Henchmen, and keep within 12" of his intended buff target.

And access to a cheap Relentless psycannon too, don't forget. I'd still take the Mastery 1 upgrade, you get two powers on him now ('Prescience' + one random one from Divination). Being able to attach where needed is pretty key.

Seconded. Psykers in Henchmen squads rolling 'Divination' powers are pretty amazing.

So, one game of 7th under my belt... and ive killed 4 things with vortex of DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM.   on 2 castings.   it ate a riptide with a 6, and then scattered onto 3 crisis suits, killing 2.  next casting, eaten buffmander with the 6.

Haha sick. 'See how your xenos tech-sorcery works in the warp, alien!'.

my total pool was between 15 and 20 the whole game, as reserves came on and squads died off.  list was something like coteaz, ML3 libby, 2 5 man pallys 2 10 man strikes, 3 henchbands with psybolterbacks and a psyker in each squad.  I used double dice to get off vortex and prescience, and when my psyker henchies used shriek, i was rolling 3 dice.   I did perils twice, once on shriek, and once on hammerhand of all things.

Haha oh wow. That's insane. Can't wait for my first game this weekend :)

It is a substantial difference, and one that we will NEED. After watching Daemon/CSM players go at it, they have no qualms with spamming Cursed Earth under their newly summoned units and that is only WC1. Had Banishment been WC3, we would have had no chance in dealing with all that they could throw at us.

'Banishment' is fine. We get it for free everywhere, and when you do need it you'll like having it available. Not something you'll cast every turn, but it does by design directly hardcounter 'Cursed Earth' and generally ruins all those free daemons people are bringing on.

and as an added plus, you can have your land raider or stormraven cast it before dropping the hammer.

Yeah casting all your powers at once is good and bad. On the one hand, the enemy is focused on dispelling, as that's all he can do in your psychic phase. On the other, everything is either up or not before Shooting happens, so you can really force bad choices for your opponent, and you can set up your Shooting phase really well.

I think though 'Sanctuary' is meh by itself, it really needs an allied DA PFG Libby or a Skyshield platform to be truly competitive. 'Banishment' is fine though, it's a rare game you won't fight daemons these days.
