Zeratul29
Hello brothers. I'm continuing to fill in spots in my Death Guard legion army. I'm about to come into another 10 volkite Culverin guns and I was looking at ideas for the guys toting them. I wanted to try something different for 5 of the guys. I've been thinking about mk V chest plate with anvilus back packs, mk 7 legs sculpted to be mk 4 legs, mk 2/3 heads and mk III shoulder pads. This is the Items I have readily available. What do you think of that for 5 Culverin marines? The other 5 guys in the squad will have the DG heads and chest plates, anvilus back packs, mk 3 shoulder pads and sculpted mk 4 legs. Do you think this is viable and fluffy enough for a DG army? Id appreciate any feedback. Thanks guys! Atia
sounds great^^ but i would use all death guard heads into one squad (to mark them as veterans) or as sergeant heads. Kamehameha!
Sounds like a cool mix of parts. Fluff-wise there aren't really any restrictions on what armour marks the Death Guard can take, but MkII and MkIII have always struck me as fitting the relentless, tough Death Guard aesthetic. You might find the MkIV legs you mentioned will look a little slender when toting those big Culverins, but since you're sculpting them from the plastic MkVII hopefully that won't end up being the case.I agree with Atia on the heads, though. All pickelhaube-style would tie the unit together nicely.
