Damon Prytanis..... beast or what?

So .... If Curze can face and effectivley beat Guilliman and the Lion when its 2 on 1 .......and Vulkan can kick the living snot out of Curze ( or at least do a lot more damage than Guilliman and the Lion)...... and Damon Prytanis can kill Vulkan with eldar pistols to the face........

THEN can't we logically assume that Damon Prytanis can beat Guilliman and the Lion as well ?????????

Now thats Paper , Rock, Scissors taken to the next level!

Not sure what the word "logically" is doing in that post tongue.png

In short, no. That's not how reality works. Even a science-fiction alternate reality.

Apart from that, personally I thought the ease in which Damon killed Vulkan (over and over and over) was just bad. Not going to start on an Unremembered Empire rant but that was a low point in the story for me.

Actually now that you mention it, I blocked that out, that was a bit odd, but then power levels and durability where not even remotely coherent in that book.

Well he was at Custer's Last Stand and Iwo Jima so that's pretty BAMF. All of the perpetuals are though

That depends. Did he ever say which side he was on during those two battles?

That's. . . not . . . no, wait, that's actually a good point.

Well seeing as he said he was 7th Cav and "those Sioux fought like hell" that ones obvious. And then since he was 7th Cav it's safe to assume he was a marine when Iwo Jima came around.

I wouldn't call it safe. We've already seen one Perpetual go from soldier to farmer, and be happy for it. No reason why Damon couldn't have been a mailman on that island at that time. Caught in the crossfire.

Why would he have to be?

Exactly - that and there were a fair few Japanese folks within the military on both sides ironically...

But either way whilst I haven't read the above book/s it does seem a tad OP - especially for Abnett writing.

Crazy question, but do we know perpetuals look the same every time they reincarnate? That seems to be the implication, but is it true?

In fact, I vaguely recall something from Legion about Grammaticus and how he had changed faces when reincarnated.  But its early and I drank last night, so I may be inventing things.
