Gentlemanloser
Doesn't this now mean that if you have a unit of them (but now, why would you ever take more than one per squad...) when they Peril, only one dies? Gaz1858
It would seem that way.... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291532-psykers-and-bop/#findComment-3698782 Share on other sites
lt051
Yes, but as far as I can tell, that unit would only get one power roll, so as stated above, you'd never take more than 1 per squad Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291532-psykers-and-bop/#findComment-3698820 Share on other sites
Kenderleech
of course.. without barrage, why would you put more then one in a squad? Buy one for EVERY squad, roll on telepathy, cross fingers for invisibility, and get shriek for free Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291532-psykers-and-bop/#findComment-3698821 Share on other sites
Valerian
Doesn't this now mean that if you have a unit of them (but now, why would you ever take more than one per squad...) when they Peril, only one dies? Yes, that's what it says in the BoP section of the special rules. Randomly allocate the Perils of the Warp attack to a single model within the unit. Yes, but as far as I can tell, that unit would only get one power roll, so as stated above, you'd never take more than 1 per squad What, I don't understand this? A Strike Squad, for example, can roll as many dice as you feel like letting them roll from whatever is available in your Warp Charge Pool to attempt to cast Hammerhand, for example. They could easily Perils if you attempt with several dice (although the chance is still reasonably low). lt051
I was referring to rolling dice for determining powers at the start of games. 60 Pts of psychers doesn't get you any more powers than 10 Pts of psychers per squad, thanks to brotherhood Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291532-psykers-and-bop/#findComment-3698850 Share on other sites

Gentlemanloser
Yes, that's what it says in the BoP section of the special rules. Randomly allocate the Perils of the Warp attack to a single model within the unit. Unit of 11 Warriors, 1 Psyker. Psyker perils and a Warrior Accolyte dies? Oh rules. I Guess GW didn't realise that a mini with BoP could belong to a unit of non Psykers... Gentlemanloser
I SUMMON THE WARP!!! OH NOES, I CAN'T CONTROL IT!!! *Billy the Guardsman gets sucked into the warp* HA HA! Edit: Nope, it's all good. The BoP rules stats that Perils are randomly allocated to any member of the unit with the BoP *rule*. Even though a mixed unit is treated a a Psyker unit, the Warrior Accolytes don't have the BoP rule, so can't take a Perils. Heh. GW got it right for once. ;) /salute Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291532-psykers-and-bop/#findComment-3699048 Share on other sites
