Lexington
That's...those are good. Very, very good. Despite being older than a lot of 40K players, my Word Bearers army has always been sans-Possessed. The concept didn't really interest me until The First Heretic hit, and even after that, the models have always been too cartoony for my taste, and the rules are too lackluster to warrant conversion time. Might be time to finally break down and succumb. Sorry to go off-topic but this is such an awesome post to find considering the immediate wake of Codex: Crimson Slaughter's release was basically "Field Possessed as Troops? Its obviously Codex: Word Bearers. GW just mislabeled it." Greyall
Possessed models have never quite nailed it, though they've massively improved since the last ones (wasn't that hard, though, lol). FW went the extra mile and added the cool touch to the mutations (I mean, one has a skull for a hand...): it's nothing new, we know they're closer to the setting's spirit. But it's doubly awesome to see it applied to a much-maligned unit/concept (Warhammer Fantasy's Forsaken aren't very inspired, either) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291545-forgeworld-bulletin-18-gal-vorbak/page/2/#findComment-3700342 Share on other sites
