Grey Knight Force to sort out a Deamonic incursion.

If you are considering a force of PA Marines instead of Terminators, then i wouldnt go with a Strike Squad for assaults. They are just regular marines at that point (with force weapons)

You could do Purifiers but they require some kind of transport - That will most likely be a landraider since you want them to assault.

Suddenly this becomes a very expensive force. A land raider alone is 250p and then add another 100 for the Inquisitor and then at least 130 for Purifiers (5xHalbard)

Thats 480p at least.

A force of:

Inquisitor

TDA, Hammer, Pysker

10 Purifiers

3 hammers, 7 halbards

Land raider redeemer

psyflame ammo

Total: 665 points (give the land raider searchlight so you end up with 666 points biggrin.png)

I think you could be a more dangerous force for less points with terminators and deepstriking.

Ha ha ha, that is a target, what ever force I end up with, it must add up to 666 points. msn-wink.gif

It has to be a legal, Battle Forged I believe is the new term, I want my Black Templar LRC to be scoring. So HQ and 1 x Troops minimum.

I love the idea of the GK teleporting into the middle of the enemy, spraying SB and PsiCannon fire every where then charging the nearest Deamon/witch. But if I do that, they will most likely end up getting charged, not an issue with 6 Halberds and a couple of Hammers.

I need hands on my new C:GK to make a good decision, I have also found (during research) that a lot of GK players feel the same way about your current Codex as Templars do about being rolled into the C:SM. It's censored.gif . So I got an old edition to get proper Fluff.

I will read both. biggrin.png

If you deepstrike a lone Strike Squads (or terminator squad) then no-one expects them to be assaulted, they will be blown apart long before the assault phase. Hence why sternguards with 5 meltas are known as suicide squads. If you get a good position, or your opponent lack good positioning, then they might just make it, nut don't count on those halberds to do anything.

LRC w/ psybolt, 5 termi w/ psycannon, GM w/ halberd = 666

Or

5 termis w/ psycannon, OMI w/ termi armor, ml1, psycannon, 2 servo skulls & 5 paladins w/ 2 master crafted psycannons = 666 if you'd prefer to teleport in. Both options would give you 3 warp charges with 1 roll on the hq for powers

That's what I'm talking about, 666 points. The perfect way to fight Deamons.

Actually, the perfect way would be 2500 points of GK.

Tempted to stop buying BT and get a good force of GK's

I honestly love using 4 (free) incinerators on my Purifiers. But then, with the changes, I may have to adjust fire. I have been out in the field (U.S. Army here), so I haven't gotten to play. Only just managed to get the new rule book this past Thursday, so still have to wait to get home to crack it open

Well met Brother, I'm RAF, currently deployed in the desert. Can not wait to get home, see the wife n kids and get stuck into my new C:GK. cool.png

You be safe over there. And it's always good to see another service member sharing the plasti-crack addiction. Lol. Shoot me a pm sometime. Been playing my knights for 10 yrs almost, and while my views and ideas are a little different than some on here, I have had good success rates as well
