Plague Angel
But he was present for the Codex to be implemented, so we'll see what happens before then? Potential retcon...be prepared There have been changes, additions, and complications (WoT provided an excellent list), but I haven't seen any outright contradictions like that yet. Or to put it another way, there have been plenty of "Did you know...?" moments, and plenty of "Not only... but also..." moments. But no big "Disregard this section from Codex ABC entirely" changes, which is what Vulkan not being present to argue against the Codex Astartes would be. And that fluff has appeared recently, too, it's not like it's background noise from prior editions. Perrin
Don't be messing with me on this, because I read Vulkan Lives waiting to get to the good point, only to realise that the good point was probably a hundred pages behind me and that Vulkan was going to be stuck showing all the character growth of a slime mold. Seriously, he's stuck in the Perturabo designed ubermaze, and instead of pulling together some crowning moment of Primarch awesomness to get out of it, he instead has to have his Dad lend him some mental strength and then he just cajoles Curze into TURNING THE MAZE OFF!! Where does Unremembered Empire fit in the grand scale of the HH books? I thought A Thousand Sons was weapons grade awesomesauce and KNF was pretty good. How's it stack up? Everyone has their own opinion but I don't think Unremembered Empire is that great. Well written and it has some really good parts in it, but there are some huge flaws that let it down. imo. I'd put it at pretty good, rather than awesomesauce.
