Olis
We here in the Liber are privileged to have been able to count Brother Argos as one of our Admins. It is with a heavy heart that I must announce that Brother Argos will be stepping down from his official duties due to health concerns. The choice has been made in advance of this day that his upkeep of the server, a not insubstantial sum, must now be replaced by a different method of finance. Hence the donation box in the top left-hand corner of the front page of B&C. There is no easy way to put it - donations are what will keep B&C running from here on out. So, we're not asking you to donate to keep us running, we're asking you to donate to keep yourselves running. B&C is a community that thrives on interaction and I'm privileged to be one of you. Be it a little, or be it a lot, every little helps brothers. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291857-a-moment-please/ Share on other sites
Messor
Every little helps in this regard, brothers. As long as the B&C is working as a community, the community will carry on just as it always has. As long as the B&C is working as a community, the community will carry on just as it always has. I can only echo what my esteemed Brothers have said. Even £1, $1 etc makes a difference. I've enjoyed every day I've been a member of this site; it has helped me grow as a painter, as a writer and (maybe ) as a person. I owe Brother Argos, the Admin, the other Mods (current and past) and every one of you my thanks Thank you! Conn Eremon
I've been a member for a couple or so years now (honestly can't remember if it was 2012 or 2011), and this website has been amazing. I got an outlet for my ideas and seen those ideas be appreciated. I've been involved with multiple community projects, and through them gotten to know some pretty cool people. Brother Argos took the burden upon himself as much as he could in order to provide this wonderful place for us. Now that the burden has grown too great to bear, I will gladly take up what I can in return for all that he has done for us. Everyone in this online community owes their gratitude to this man. Not everyone can support the website and donate, and I hope those who can't don't fault themselves for it. I know I wouldn't have, where I was when I first joined this community. But if you can donate something, whatever you can, to show as a gesture of gratitude for everything that Brother Argos has done for us in the past, then I urge you to do so. I can now, so I have and I will continue to do so for as long as I can. Because Brother Argos is worth that support. Because the Bolter and Chainsword community is worth that support. Because you are worth that support. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291857-a-moment-please/#findComment-3706714 Share on other sites
Tiberius Cato
I am a newish member of the community, and I have yet to have the honour of meeting Brother Argos. But this community that he has worked ver hard to maintain has grown on me and really feels like a second home. I am proud to call these people my brothers, they are willing to listen to other's ideas and help them elaborate on those ideas. This is all because of your hard work Brother Argos, which I am truly appreciative of. I have donated a small amount ($5) and intend to donate more when I get paid. Anyways, if you read this Brother Argos, let it be known that as a token of my appreciation that you shall be referenced in my chapter as a dreadnought, the Venerable Argos strikes fear into the hearts of man's enemies. I wish you the best and may the Emperor walk with you, ArcticPaladin Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291857-a-moment-please/#findComment-3706968 Share on other sites
Ace Debonair
Donation made! I'd sooner give up the hobby itself than give up the B&C! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291857-a-moment-please/#findComment-3708361 Share on other sites
Olis
Friends! Brothers! Liberites! Lend me your ears! We are closing in on our target - just 30% to go. For those of you who have not heard or have not yet decided to throw in a couple of creds into the kitty, bear in mind this target represents server costs over an entire year. That's right. Twelve whole months. And just think, for less than the cost of a single miniature, you can chip in and help our community thrive. Well done to all of you who have put in some of your hard earned money up until now - it'll be greatly appreciated, no doubt. Even though this is a community effort for the sake of the community itself, I would just like to say thank you. Thank you for stepping up to the plate. Thank you for not just thinking other people will cover this. Thank you for choosing to commit funds that could so easily go elsewhere. :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291857-a-moment-please/#findComment-3709024 Share on other sites
Nemesor
I don't get paid for another 12 hours, if this is still going then I'll chip in. Pretty amazing how fast everyone pulled together and filled that meter though. Olis
I bring good news, brothers! We have achieved our target, and within a week of the drive starting. Your generosity humbles me, fellow Liberites. Rest assured that any spill-over will go towards future upkeep of the board. As such, do not feel that the time has passed for chipping in - for a pittance your home away from home can thrive for months and years to come. Again, thank you. :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291857-a-moment-please/#findComment-3713589 Share on other sites
